Depending on your printer type, the two most common types are dot matrix and thermal printing. Dot matrix or impact printers require the use of ink ribbon in addition to the paper roll, whereas thermal printers on the other hand, only require the thermal paper roll as the consumable item.
Dot matrix printers can use either wood-free (single ply) or NCR / carbonless paper (2 or 3 ply). A simple method to tell the difference between wood-free or NCR / carbonless paper and thermal paper is to scratch the surface of the paper with your fingernail. If it is thermal paper, a mark will be left where you scratched the roll.
Yes we can. In addition to our standard design pre-printed paper rolls, we also pre-print customised designs. For full colour (4-colour) printing, design artwork can be very fine, small & detailed. We can also print dark colours with fine toning using UV offset ink with a semi-glossy effect. Just send us a soft copy of your logo and we will send you the artwork for approval before proceeding with production.
We have a team of dedicated, full-time graphic artists to cater to our customers’ design requirements, including conceptualising the artwork. Speak to our sales team regarding your artwork needs.
At Tele-Paper, we can print up to 9 colours (offset printing) including metallic colours with varnish or glossy ink.
Pre-printing can save you money by saving paper. For example, instead of printing your company logo and on the front of the receipt, pre-print your logo at the back of the receipt will reduce the overall length of the receipt, thereby saving you paper. Please refer to our receipt saving solution page for details.
In addition to a wide range of thermal paper grades and thicknesses, our special grades of paper include long life, BPA-free, Sky blue image, Ultrawhite, top coated and synthetic thermal paper to cater to a wide variety of requirements including long-term image retention, BPA-free, blue image, ultra white, heat and water resistant thermal paper; to name a few. Drop us a line for samples.
Thermal paper selection primarily depends on the end use application such as point of sales, ticketing, medical and labelling; amongst many others. The secondary consideration is the environmental usage conditions such as exposure to the elements for outdoor applications like parking summonses, utility bills or baggage tags. Speak to our well trained sales team who will be able to advice you on the most suitable thermal paper grade for your application. Drop us an email to find out more today.
